What started as a group of strong, independent specialists has grown into one integrated powerful organisation. It is the diversity of our expertise that makes us strong: we combine depth and breadth of knowledge within one integrated group.

The roots

1879 — Doedijns

Originally started as a distributor of drive belts and developed over more than a century into a specialist in system solutions for hydraulics, pneumatics, instrumentation and controls.

1958 — Vremac Cylinders

Started as a small repair workshop and grown into a manufacturer of high-quality hydraulic cylinders in very large dimensions and high production volumes.

1974 — Vapo Hydraulics

Started in the agricultural sector and gradually expanded to industrial applications, with a focus on certified cylinder solutions.

1983 — Hydropack Hydraulics

Specialised from day one in high-tech hydraulic control systems and known for complex installations for infrastructure projects.

1994 — Nubé Hydraulics

Developed into a manufacturer of hydraulic manifolds and control blocks, with flexibility from single pieces to series production in various materials.

1998 — Sypack

Grown into a leading supplier of (re)fuelling tank installations and widely recognised within the maritime, offshore, naval and defence sector.

1999 — GDM Precision Mechanics

Founded as a precision machining specialist and developed into a reliable partner for turning and milling high-quality components.

Formation

The Vydraulics Group was formed when Vapo Hydraulics and Hydropack joined forces. Later that year, Vremac Cylinders was acquired to further strengthen the group. Together with GDM, these companies laid the foundation for the further expansion of the Vydraulics Group.

Doedijns

The acquisition of Doedijns Group International, including Doedijns, Sypack and Koppen & Lethem, doubles the size of the group and strengthens its system integration capabilities.

Mechatest

Mechatest Sampling Solutions joins via Doedijns and relocates to the site in Zoetermeer.

Multi-site ISO certification

GDM moves to a new facility next to Vapo. Hydropack is integrated as a product group with in depth knowledge of civil works within Doedijns, and the group achieves group-wide ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.

Nubé

With the addition of Nubé Hydraulics, Vydraulics strengthens its position in hydraulic manifolds and control blocks.

Carve-out

Mechatest leaves the Vydraulics Group and joins GMG.
