Pneumatically driven gas boosters offer a compact, flexible and cost-effective way to transport or pressurise gas at high pressure. They are intrinsically safe and easy to install. Pneumatic gas boosters can be cleaned with oxygen or with a high-purity cleaning agent. Oxygen-cleaned boosters are renowned for their cleanliness and can process pure gases such as oxygen without risk of contamination. When carrying out maintenance on an oxygen gas booster or system, Haskel cleans components to comply with MIL STD 1330 D.

Placing multiple boosters in series is an option when higher flow rates and pressures are required that exceed the capacity of a single gas booster. In this case, one or more boosters with the same ratio can be connected in parallel and then placed in series with one or more boosters with the same ratio.

Hydraulically and electrically servo-driven gas boosters are better suited for continuous operation and higher flow rates. Hydraulically driven gas boosters are approximately three times more efficient than traditionally pneumatically driven gas boosters and are capable of a 100% duty cycle.

New, electrically servo-driven gas boosters, developed by Haskel, are delivered as complete gas compression systems. These technologically advanced gas boosters represent a unique combination of electric servo drive and gas compression units designed by Haskel. The electric gas boosters are equipped with an IoT control system for smart, clean and efficient high-pressure gas compression with flow rates up to 448 bar, along with endless controllability and remote monitoring capabilities.
