Bridges, locks and hydraulic engineering structures
We supply complete hydraulic drives for movable bridges - swing bridges, lift bridges, bascule bridges and pontoon bridges. Our cylinders and control systems are designed for high cyclic loading, operation in all weather conditions and a service life measured in decades.
For locks we develop drives for gates, sluice gates and rolling bridges. Weirs, flood defence structures and pumping stations receive cylinders with corrosion-resistant surface treatments and seals for submerged applications. Vydraulics specialises in keeping bridges, locks and movable road sections operating fault-free.
Renovation and life extension
Many civil structures were built in the 1960s and 70s and contain hydraulic installations approaching the end of their service life. Vydraulics specialises in replacing and renovating existing civil hydraulics - without major modifications to the structure itself.
Our engineers use the original drawings of the structure to design new cylinders and systems that fit precisely into the existing construction. Special attention is paid to the interfaces with the civil structure, the sealing of submerged installations and the integration of modern control systems into older civil installations. This extends the service life of bridges, locks and weirs by decades.

30+ years in civil hydraulics
Vydraulics has more than 30 years of experience in civil projects involving bridges, locks and weirs, both in the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as internationally – including Panama and Vietnam, where various installations are operated using technology from one or more Vydraulics entities. Both small-scale projects and large-scale infrastructure installations are right up our street.
