Dredging vessels
The dredging industry is one of our core markets. We supply hydraulic cylinders and systems for virtually every type of dredging vessel: trailing suction hopper dredgers, cutter suction dredgers, backhoe dredgers and split hopper barges.
Applications range from ladder and suction pipe drives to valve actuation and positioning systems. Our cylinders are built for the specific demands of dredging work: high cyclic loading, exposure to silt and salt water, and the need to operate without interruption for weeks on end.
Offshore installations
For offshore platforms, jack-up rigs and pipelaying vessels, we supply hydraulic systems for lifting equipment, cranes, anchor winches and positioning systems. Vydraulics' Maxine heave compensation systems are deployed worldwide for offshore lifting operations.
All products are delivered with the required maritime certifications. Our engineers design cylinders with anti-corrosion coatings such as nickel-chrome, ceramics and Inconel 625 laser coating, specifically chosen for the aggressive offshore environment.
Certification and repair
Vydraulics has extensive experience certifying cylinders for the dredging industry. Our certification process includes full material traceability, calculations in accordance with classification standards, and acceptance tests witnessed by recognised inspection bodies.
Repairs to dredging cylinders are handled in the same way as new products: materials used are traceable, certificates for replaced parts are approved by authorised parties, and an acceptance test is scheduled when required. All certified cylinders, whether new or repaired, are executed in accordance with the rules of Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register, DNV, GL or ABS. This extends the service life of costly dredging cylinders by decades.
