The V32 cylinder was developed for applications where standard cylinders (up to 250 bar) provide insufficient force. With the higher working pressure of 320 bar, the V32 generates more force at the same bore size, or the same force at a smaller bore size.
This results in a more compact installation with less weight, crucial for offshore platforms, dredging vessels and mobile machines where every kilogramme counts. The design is fully calculated for the higher pressures with corresponding safety factors.
